The South American Andes Mountains is the ancestral home to the alpaca. The alpaca fleece is warmer and more durable than cashmere. It is so soft that it is referred to as "the fiber of the gods." While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and bears no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic.
Kirstin designed her luxurious alpaca knit line while in Peru in 2011. She has turned this natural fiber into fashionable hand warmers, infinity scarves and a stunning creation known as the necklace scarf.
